Summary:
The South East branch generally meets on the third Wednesday of the month, travelling times can be long around the home counties and East Anglia, therefore, we endeavour to space these across the area, so that all of our members can achieve their required C P D points within a reasonable distance from home. Our central meeting point is the Sekforde arms in Clerkenwell, but we also have venues in Hertfordshire and Kent available for our use and would welcome suggestions for other locations.
No meetings are held in July and August, and whichever month the Inst AGM occurs, in recent years this has been April.
We aim to have at least six CPD sessions per year and one social event, usually a quiz around the Christmas period.
Over the years the need for CPD points has become a driving force for meetings, however we are keen that a number should have a return to basics feel to help students.
Generally we commence at 6.30 with a buffet and drinks and it’s down to business by 7.30 at the latest, by 9 p.m. people are either wending their way home or, in the case of the Sekforde Arms, have retired to the bar.
Our normal attendance would be in the order of 25 people and the atmosphere tends to be good natured and jovial, new members are always welcome.
